Madison Vineyards is a resistance to vinous monotony—Quixote’s La Mancha on California soil. It’s a blend of Rhône-variety elegance and Spanish heritage that Livermore’s rarely seen before.

What Livermore wine should be

Livermore has one of California’s longest viticultural histories, yet we’ve barely tapped its potential—because for years, these hillsides have been crying out for Rhône varieties, and a winery devoted solely to their brilliance. We would know. We’ve spent years studying the terroir, and even longer mastering the intricacies of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre.

We could’ve gone to Napa or Sonoma, but we’re here. Not just because this is our hometown, but because it’s California’s next powerhouse region, and it’s about time the wine world took notice.

Thou hast seen nothing yet.

Meticulous mindset.
Adventurous Spirit.

Most discover their love of Syrah over a glass. We found it over the day’s fourth punchdown. And after we spotted a property one soil scientist called a dead ringer for Châteauneuf-du-Pape, we dedicated every detail—from farming to cooperage—to crafting elegant, sophisticated wines.

Drawing inspiration from the satire of Miguel de Cervantes, we’re creating our own La Mancha in Livermore, rebelling against winemaking uniformity. Unbound by the constraints of other regions, we’re free to interweave Rhône varieties and our Spanish heritage in a wildly new way. We know: it’s not what you expect. That’s the point. Because great winemaking requires vision, and great wine needs a dash of defiance.

To surrender dreams—this may be madness.

Our lives have lead to this.

Our vision didn’t start in Livermore. It started in Spain, where Tony’s father charted a course for California. In Sicily, where Jennifer’s family did the same. In Washington, where Tony learned winemaking from his uncle, and in Napa, where Jennifer’s grandfather sold some of the region’s best wines. Just so happens that both of our families settled exactly where our favorite grape varieties thrive. So we put down literal and figurative roots in a vineyard named for our daughter.

Here, we’re building our ambitious vision. To some, it’s madness. To us, it’s vital. Because if anything can rival our love for this community, it’s our love for making incredible wine.
